Here’s good news for people living in Gopanpally and its vicinity as the newly constructed Gopanpally Thanda flyover will be thrown open to the public on Saturday.
The flyover will be inaugurated by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday.
Initially, it was expected to be inaugurated in June, but parliamentary elections delayed the opening of the flyover.
The project was taken up to ensure the free flow of traffic from the HCU bus stop to Outer Ring Road via Vattinagulapally.
The overpass has two exit ramps. While one, spanning a distance of 430 meters, opens the door for one-way movement of vehicles from Gowlidoddi towards Nallagandla, the other facilitates traffic flow from Gowlidoddi towards Tellapur, covering 550 meters.
Built at a cost of Rs 28.50 crore, the flyover is likely to ease traffic congestion in IT corridors.
Serilingampally MLA Arekepudi Gandhi said that besides easing traffic flow, the Gopanpally Thanda flyover will make commuting easy for people moving towards Outer Ring Road.
